I spent some time in the workshop today for the first time in a long time.
I finished the assembly in a project I’ve been piecing together bits at a time for the doggo. It’s a stand for her food and water bowl so she doesn’t have to go all the way to the ground every time.

Tomorrow, I’ll sand and finish it. It should be done and ready for her to use by this weekend. It looks crude now, but it will be better once it’s finished.
I started my next project shortly after assembling this one. It’s a secret for the moment, but you can see it’s coming together rather quickly.
Tomorrow, I’ll square up those four components and start piecing together the rest. I should be able to assemble this tomorrow and sand and finish this and the dog bowl stand at the same time.
It was refreshing to get back in the workshop today. It had been too long since I any energy into that space or my projects. I still have more to do and much to learn. I also worked on laser engraving coins, priming one of my 3D prints in order to get it ready for painting, and maintenance on some clamps that needed some love.
I like working with my hands and wood feels warm, organic, and forgiving. If I make mistakes, I can hide them. It felt good to get back to it today. I need to make more time for this hobby in my day and my life. More to follow soon.
