All in a day’s work

All in a day’s work

Back in October, we had the driveway paved. We laid out a tarp for the guys doing the paving and they put the gravel on the tarp for us.

Since October, we’ve slowly but surely used the gravel sitting in the front yard for flower beds and the like, but we haven’t been able to use it all. So it sat in the front yard on a tarp, an eyesore for the last two months.

Today, I finally worked up the gumption to move the last of the gravel. It was about 50 cubic feet of gravel and took more effort than I expected. I used a lot of it to fill in some shallow spots on our neighbor’s driveway for her. I also topped off some of the flower beds. It felt good to put in some manual labor and finally get that off my to-do list.

I took some time today for self-care also and it was nice, but nothing is quite as good as getting a major project finished and checking it off the list.

Yeah, all these projects do gnaw at your heart a little, and getting them done really does feel like a true accomplishment. Glad that you’re done with it!
