It took me quite a while, but I finally beat God of War for PS4.
I got the game the day it came out, but only played it a little.
Recently, and largely due to the stay at home orders, I’ve been playing games more often. It’s nice to be able to sit down and enjoy myself on occasion. I don’t feel like I have to be doing something around the house every minute of the day.
Anyway, I picked the game back up and started from the beginning. Mostly because I couldn’t remember how to play the game anymore and I needed to walk through the in-game tutorial again.
I just finished it tonight, and I have to say, this is one of the best put-together games I’ve played in a long time.
Okay, that doesn’t say much because I don’t play a lot, but you know what I mean… and, it’s still true. I’ve played a fair amount of games (I wouldn’t call myself a gamer), but, I’ve owned a PlayStation since the original, and I had a Nintendo and a Sega before that, and this is one of the best games that I’ve ever played.
The graphics are sweet, the gameplay is challenging enough to keep you coming back, but easy enough to enjoy yourself if you’re not hardcore. The story is really good; I thought I had it figured out, but I was way wrong. One thing about games I’ve noticed recently is that they have good stories. It’s like a movie, only you choose where the hero goes and what they do. Sort of like a choose-your-own-adventure story if you remember those. Another one of the best parts is the replay-ability. Usually, when I play a game, I do the main story-line and call it quits afterwards. This game had me doing side quests immediately after completing the main story-line. There were huge parts of the map I hadn’t set foot in yet. I’m really looking forward to doing more side quests as I have time.
Seriously, wether you’re a gamer or not. If you haven’t played this yet, you’re missing out.
