It’s been awhile…

Since I said…I’m sorry…

[ahem] Sorry about that. I can’t hear, see, or think these words without hearing the song by Staind in my mind’s jukebox.

Things have just been so stinkin’ busy lately. I’ve barely had time to write for myself let alone posts of a quality high enough to be out in public.

I guess the biggest thing that needs to be said is that we’ve decided to leave our home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and move a bit further west, across the Chesapeake Bay to King George, Virginia where I’ll be working for General Dynamics Information Technology in Dahlgren, VA and Adrianne will be working for Prince Frederick County Public Schools as an elementary teacher in Fredericksburg, VA.

We haven’t had any showings yet, but the house has only been on the market for a week. There’s still a lot to do to get things ready for the new owners, but both Adrianne and I feel that will be a continuous thing until we get to closing.

Sarah is home from her first year at James Madison University (JMU). She finished up her Freshman year strongly and is working at Ray’s Shanty and All About Dance until it’s time to go back for her Sophomore year. She’s joining the Royal Marching Dukes (RMDs) and will be going to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade this year to march into Harold Square with her saxophone and participate in every football game for next season! We couldn’t be prouder.

Austin started a new job with a different HVAC company in Snow Hill, MD. He left Alward’s because he wasn’t getting enough hours to be able to pay all his bills. He was working two jobs at the same time to make up the difference, but this new place has guaranteed him 40 hours a week at his previous rate of pay, so he’s doing better now.

That’s about it for now. I don’t want to make this too long; I have a few more things to say, but I’ll write those up and get them ready for posting shortly. I just didn’t want to bombard everyone with all the updates we had from the last year. Besides, I need to go cut the grass.
