Quality is job…well, uh…it used to be job one

This is the second package this week that arrived in a discombobulated state. It’s like no one cares about quality customer service any longer.

The first package arrived with someone else’s shipment inside it. It looked like the box had busted open and the shipping service used packaging tape to put it back together. They must have been in a hurry and grabbed a bunch of other things on the ground next to our package and just shoved them in there without looking.

I’ve searched through Amazon’s customer care and cannot find out how to return the items that don’t belong to us. Aside from driving down the shore and handing them over to the real owner myself, there isn’t another way. I may just take the items back to the UPS store and say they were delivered mistakenly but that’s a 45 minute trip also. If anyone knows how to contact amazon to correct this, let me know.

The items in the box were fine, but check out the item to packaging ratio. It seems somewhat skewed to me. The box was way too large and there wasn’t enough packing material in it by half.

At this point, I’m not sure why I’m paying for an amazon prime membership. Nothing arrives in two days any longer. I ordered these two t-tracks, a stop block, and two sets of self-adhesive measuring tape at the same time over a week ago. Every single item has arrived on a different day and in its own packaging except for the t-tracks. I’m still waiting on the stop block to arrive. It’s supposed to be here tomorrow.

I’m going to have to be more judicious about ordering from Amazon in the future. If there just going to phone it in like they have been, it may be better if I travel the hour-and-a-half round-trip to pick up what I need.

If you know how to complain to Amazon about poor quality packaging or receiving items that don’t belong to you, let me know.
