Last weekend we were in the Bahamas swimming with dolphins. This weekend, we’re at home getting ready for the change of season. The temperature has already dropped here on the Eastern Shore and I’ve had to kick the heat on this week. We’re mid-sixties during the day and mid-fifties at night. The other day, leaves were coming out of the trees in the backyard like rain falls. We’ve all noticed the daylight shifting and people are dressing up their houses for spooky season.
A day after our cruise, I caught a cold and started feeling yucky. I think I caught it in time and started taking cold and cough meds. I only missed one day of work, but I felt bad because I was back from vacation for one day, then I had to take a sick day. The navy trained me to work through being sick no matter what. It’s going to take some time for me to get over the guilty feeling when I’m sick.
I have to use what daylight we’ve got left for the day to get some chores around the house done. The dryer vent needs cleaned and I’d like to pressure wash one or two sides of the house before the sun sets. Until my next update, enjoy this video of our dolphin swim at Blue Lagoon Island. I already miss the warmer weather, the Bahama-mamas, and the clear, blue skies and water.
