Sorry I haven’t written a post in awhile. Life has kept us busy this summer and there doesn’t look to be any signs of slowing down in the near future.
We had to go home for Independence Day weekend because my Uncle Dick passed away. We boon docked in the camper in his yard so we had a place to chill and some room to breathe when we needed it. I think it goes without saying that the family was under a lot of stress at the time, but everyone behaved themselves.

After we got home, we went up to Delaware to see some of the drum corps. performs.

We made it home safely from that and went to the Outer Banks the first week in August. It was a good trip. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we decided to get the same house again next year.

Adrianne got me tickets to see Keith Urban in concert for our anniversary and we went to my first “rock” concert ever.

Adrianne and I went to a local campground for Labor Day weekend. It was nice to just get away from the house and relax for a bit. Of course, some of our friends came for a visit and we had a great time together just hanging out and chatting.

In between it all, we’ve been working, Adrianne is teaching her tenth year in the county. This is her second year at Metompkin elementary. Sarah has started her senior year of high school and has started the process of applying for scholarships and colleges.
But that’s not all…
This coming weekend, we’re headed back to PA. We’ll be staying at the Saxton KOA and going to the Penn State Central Michigan game with an old friend of mine.
The following weekend, Adrianne and I are leaving for the Bahamas. We’re going on a cruise with Royal Caribbean cruise line. We’re stopping at Perfect Day at Coco Cay and Nassau to swim with the fishes and the dolphins.
It all goes so fast, but I’m really enjoying retirement from the navy. I feel like I’m finally living life. I enjoy work, but I like my time away from work also.
I’ll get better about updating this more frequently so these aren’t as long any more.
