Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. We had a nice day. I woke up to the smell of cinnamon rolls and pumpkin pies. We watched the parade together, then, I spatchcocked the turkey and we put it on the smoker. It took longer than last year, but it was a larger turkey than last year. We had a 26-pound bird this year and it took about five or six hours on the smoker. Austin came over, our friend, Jason came over, and Sarah’s boyfriend, Brooks, and his mother joined us. We made too much food, so we made sure that everyone took some home with them.

We’re not much for crowds, shopping, or the rush of the holidays, so we’ve been chilling out here at home catching up on movies and shows. There’s been quite a few movies that we’ve been meaning to see. So far, we haven’t seen one that we didn’t like.

  • Luca
  • Raya and the Last Dragon
  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
  • Sonic the Hedgehog
  • Jungle Cruise
  • Mulan (live action)

We have to finish decorating the tree and some parts of the house, but for the most part, we’re ready to go for the holidays. Not that anyone is ever truly ready for the holidays, but we’re as ready as we’re going to be. I think decorating will continue throughout the month as we approach Christmas.

Ugh…I have no idea what to get anyone for Christmas. I don’t want to think about it; I’d rather just sit here and watch movies and skip all the hassle of doing gifts for everyone. It’s not that I’m not in a holiday mood, I just don’t want to figure out what to get everyone. I suppose I should put some effort into it before the month completely passes me by.
