Thank the light I’m through this series!! Blood and bloody-ashes that was painful!

That was far too long of a read. I got captured by the first three books, slogged down by the middle seven books, then re-invigorated by the last three books. I know I’m going to piss off the internet when I say you could read the first three and the last three skipping the seven in the middle and not miss a thing.

If you want to read a series of books where the description of what someone is wearing, catch phases repeated over-and-over again ad nauseum, but skims over the battle sequences and action to the point where it leaves your head spinning like, “What tf just happened”, then this is the series for you.

If you want something that holds together better than that, then read The Sword of Truth series. I think I gave this four stars just because I’m so excited to be done with it. I may come back in a few days after decompressing and change my rating.
