On the way to work today, two little birds flittered out of a tree and right into the windshield of my car. I felt so bad afterwards I almost stopped to see if they were okay.
Maybe I’ve been reading too much fantasy lately, but it made me wonder what it meant. It certainly doesn’t happen everyday and it gave me a sense of foreboding that something bad was coming.
It makes me wonder about bad omens if there are specific requirements for them to have a negative connotation. For example, does it have to be a stationary window, or a certain type of bird, or only if the bird dies that makes it a bad omen?
What are your thoughts? Do you believe in bad omens? What are some omens that you’ve seen that came true?
