At the dentist’s office today for a checkup that wouldn’t normally be required, but it’s the military. They want to check you every three years even though I see the civilian dentist in town every six months.
After driving two hours to get here, walking through the building lost for ten minutes, ensuring I pushed the correct buttons for the elevator (2nd floor vs. code blue button [scary]), filling in the same form by hand I filled in online two days before my appointment, then following the crazy-ass instructions by the dental tech for sanitizing my hands in the middle sink with the clear bottle, then getting a blue cup out of the cupboard, filling it with Listerine on the right, swishing for thirty minutes, not spitting in the sink, but putting the spit back in the cup and placing, not throwing, it in the trash behind me, deblousing, taking my temperature and blood pressure making me sign an updated privacy statement, and reading a list of questions that I need to inform her if I have concerns about…whew! The dental tech tells me my blood pressure is elevated.
Well…duh!
