We’re trying our hand at something new…again… 😝 Sometimes, it seems like we try every new idea that we come across.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing though. I read somewhere that new ideas keep you young. That must explain why people still say to me, “you don’t look 40! You look 24!” I’ll take that, thank you very much. 😆

This time, Sarah is joining me. I bought a lathe for the hobby shop and we’re trying our hand at turning some pens.

That is, if the power stays on. The hurricane is supposed to be right over the top of us tomorrow at 8am. I’ll let you all know how we make out on the other side of the storm.

I’ll keep you posted about the pen turning also. Who knows. Maybe we’ll like this enough to keep doing it instead of finding a new hobby in a few months. 😆

Truth is, I like being a jack of all trades. I like trying new stuff and being able to do things. Life is so short, I want to do it all and see even more. It’s fun for me to learn new things. Most of the things I like to learn about are passé in our society/culture. I tend to think of myself as a Renaissance man that way.

Is anyone else like that? Picking up hobbies and ideas as you go along never really mastering any of them? Let me know what you like to do in the comments below.
