We’ve been getting outside more often. After being cooped up in the house all winter and then during the quarantine, it feels good that spring is here and summer is on the way. I needed some fresh air and sunshine!

The weather has been beautiful this year; not too hot, not too humid, nice and cool, a little breezy, and beautiful skies. The bugs haven’t been too bad either.

The garden is coming along better than ever, so is our homemade compost pile. The potatoes we planted are going to be prolific.

Today, after spending the last few days working on the boat, I took the time to hang up my hammock and get outside to enjoy the beautiful day and all the flora and fauna. I love how green everything is at the moment.

We have to put netting around everything or the deer will get into it. They scarfed two potatoes before I put the netting up. Luckily, we had a couple extras to replant.
We’ve already harvested some lettuce from the garden and it was good. It will continue to grow throughout the season as we use it. It’s like a self-replenishing salad bar. Great for sammiches! 😋
